About Us

Knoll Yarns Ltd. (formerly S.C.Yarns Ltd) has operated since 1978 out of the attractive Yorkshire town of Ilkley in the picturesque Wharfe valley from offices equipped with state of the art electronic communications.

We offer a comprehensive range of stock-supported yarns for weaving and knitting. These are either woolen-spun from our own Knoll ranges or worsted-spun via our longstanding association with Suedwolle, the world’s largest worsted spinner whom we represent in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The knoll range of yarns is designed, coloured and stocked in the UK. We show to weavers at the FILO show in Milan in March and to knitters at Pitti Filati in Florence in July. Our yarns are exported all over the world via a network of agents.

We are the exclusive exporters of the only true Donegal yarn on the market, produced by Kilcarra Yarns in Ireland in which we hold a 25% share.

Our seven year association with Bridgehaugh Ltd. In Scotland enables us to offer a yarn-dyeing and twisting facility should these services be required.
